If you or another campus community member are experiencing , or have experienced, discrimination or harassment, sexual assault, dating or domestic violence, or stalking, please contact our Title IX Office. The Title IX Coordinator will inform you of your rights and options and will provide appropriate supportive measures to help you to continue to thrive at Butte College.

If you are not yet sure if you want to report, but would like support to help you make that decision, please contact Safe Place to talk to a confidential advocate who can discuss your options.

Mission Statement

The mission of Butte College’s Title IX Office is to partner with the college community to create and maintain a culture and environment in which all persons may participate in the college’s programs and activities regardless of their sex, sexual orientation, gender, or gender identity and expression.

The Title IX Office promotes that all persons can work, learn, and thrive at the college free of all forms of sex discrimination including harassment, exploitation, or intimidation.

Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Dating or Domestic Violence, and Stalking Policies & Procedures

It is the policy of Butte-Glenn Community College to maintain an environment for students, faculty, administrators, staff, and visitors that is free from all forms of discrimination and harassment, including sexual misconduct.

Butte College's Administrative Procedures describe the prohibition of harassment, including sexual harassment, and outline the college's response to reports of such harassment. Sexual Assault, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, and Stalking are all forms of harassment prohibited withing these procedures. For guidance in navigating these procedures, please contact the Title IX Coordinator.
